About Us
Our traditional coaching Inn was built in Old Rattray around 1865, and originally called The Rattray Hotel. It has changed hands over the years and is now a family run Inn. Since June 2017 the Inn has been owned by Ian & Kelly Mann and their family. Kelly is a local of Rattray and grew up around 200 yards from the Inn. Ian, Kelly and their family welcome you all and hope you enjoy your visit. 
 The Inn is situated on the outskirts of the town and in the past was surrounded by berry fields where in the summer months locals and others from further afield would pick the berries to earn money.  We regularly use the local berry produce to produce dishes served in our restaurant.

We are a short stroll from the town centre of Blairgowrie. Based in the heart of Perthshire we are surrounded by beautiful scenery with famous golf courses nearby. Glenshee ski-ing resort, fishing, walking, breweries and family attractions are all within a short distance.

Covid -19 Guidance

We are taking all measures possible to provide a safe environment for all of our guests.  To operate within the governments regulations we have had to adapt some of our practices at the Old Cross, however these should not have any adverse effects on your visit to us.
We are currently operating a one way system. There are hand sanitisation stations at our entrance and throughout the building. We have QR codes on each table and we ask that you scan these when you enter and exit the building.  We are currently offering a table service only.
Our Restaurant
Our restaurant is currently open 5 days a week, Wednesday to Sunday, with food being served in the lounge bar, the restaurant, and fully enclosed outside garden. We provide table service in all of these areas. 

Along with our traditional favourites we have added some exciting new items for you to try to our menu, along with our Gluten Free, Vegetarian & Vegan menus.   

Our restaurant has achieved the Taste Our Best Quality Assured Certificate 2018/2019. This is awarded by Visit Scotland.  We also use local suppliers where possible and in season to provide the best possible flavours our chef can create. 

Our restaurant seats between 30 - 40 people.  It is an ideal size to be able to enjoy the company of other diners but still offers the space desired when enjoying a quiet meal out.  Dogs are not permitted in our restaurant however they are welcomed in our lounge bar area and in our fully enclosed garden area.
